The workshop will be held at the Bernoulli center (picture above). An map of the EPFL may greatly help you to prepare your travel.
From the Swiss airports, you can easily arrive in Lausanne by train.
From the Geneva Airport, there are many trains (about 5 trains per hour). The fastest is the "IC" which takes 42 minutes for the journey.
From Zurich Airport, the journey takes 2h32 in the best case (about 2 trains per hour).

Go to the metro station located just in front of the train station called M2.
Take the metro uphill, in the direction called Croisettes and get off in the first stop called Lausanne-Flon.
There, transfer to what is called the M1, with the same ticket. Get off at the Unil Sorge station.
From the station, walk 5min south to the Bernoulli Center.
Go to the bus stop located just around the 56th of the Avenue de la Gare
Take the Bus 1 in the direction of EPFL and get off in the stop called Ecublens VD, Champagne.
From the station, walk 5 min north to the Bernoulli Center.
Go to the M1 stop on the south of the train station
Take the M1 in the direction of "Lausanne Flon" and get off at the Unil Sorge station.
From the station, walk 5 min south to the Bernoulli Center.

Hotels in Lausanne provide a free transit card to travel in and around the city for the duration of your stay (max 15 days). You must ask for the card at the hotel reception. Moreover, you can use public transport free of charge in Lausanne (metro & bus) on the day of your arrival to reach your hotel; but you will need to show your hotel booking and a proof of identity.
